Teh Goggles! THEY DO NOTHING!

It has been a while since I've assaulted the web with my barrage of meaningless drivel. So, what's happened...? Well, I read Countdown to Infinite Crisis by DC, and I must say...DC is really trying to weed out all that is lighthearted and funny in the comics.

HERE THAR BE SPOILERS!

I'll try not to spoil too much, but let's say a couple of chuckleheads that kind of embodied the BWAHAHAHA-era of the Justice League are featured heavily in this. That's right, a story with Booster Gold and Blue Beetle. Beetle happens to be among my favorite heroes. This would be a good thing that they're featured, but they find themselves now in a JLA that apparently is comprised of asses. Despite the threats on Beetle's life and the history he has had with the JLA, it seems nobody cares about poor Mr. Kord. The writers seem to have shoved their ideas up the rears of the JLAers and they're not too happy about it. Even good old J'onn gives Beetle the cold shoulder after a near-death experience. These "unhip" second-stringers just don't get any respect. I swear, Kingdom Come is coming true. I wouldn't be surprised if Kansas was obliterated in a near issue...Of course, the end of Countdown didn't make me happy. At all. What's the deal? First, we lost Sue. God knows where the Atom has gone. Ralph isn't funny anymore. Impulse has become a more serious Kid Flash. Superboy always seems down or something...no more arrogance, just a cardboard cutout of a character. And now this. I love comics, I really do. But DC...you're scaring me!!! At least Rebirth is wicked awesome, as I hope the rest of the new Green Lantern series will be. I dunno...

END OF THE SPOILERS

So, what else? Lots of things. Pikmin 2 is happy. I mean HAPPY! Something about being in complete control of 100 little vegetable people. Makes me shiver. What's this I hear about a game called Jak X? Jak and Daxter...based on car combat? Hmmm...I don't know about that. And this new Sly game...Bentley pulling a Stephen Hawking and Murray going Gandhi? These times, they are a changin'!

And now for the HAPPIEST part of my recent online venturing...something so freaking amazing, you won't even believe it. Okay, if you aren't familiar with Final Fantasy VI (shame on you, by the way), you probably won't give a wad of snot for this. But anyway, this is the site of the holiness. Just click "New Game" on the black screen at the top. Don't worry about the Japanese language pack, for the vision of heaven is Flash. Man, I peed myself just thinking about this lovely little thing. Well, that's all for now. I'm going to try to give an indication that this blog is alive, but I'm not promising anything. Well, take care of each other and yourselves. ADIEU!
